In 1858, transplanted New Englanders built a Presbyterian Church out of local red brick. In 1873, it became the Union Sunday School, an interdenominational meeting place. Services were held until 1966. In 1896, Iowa's 12th governor (Larrabee)installed in the church what is today the largest Kimball pipe organ of its kind in the U.S. Concerts are held here at 2:30 p.m. the last Sunday each month - April to Oct., except May.
