Upper Iowa University, founded in 1857, is located in Fayette. Highlighting this beautiful campus, are 13 sculptures, made possible by a generous gift of alumni Bill and Betty Andres. Brochures are available at the Parker-Fox Hall (north side of the campus) and at the Fayette County Tourism Center (SW corner of the Jct. of Hwys. 93 and 150, in Fayette). Another campus stop is at the military memorial called "Reflective Tribute", which pays homage to all veterans and most especially, those Upper Iowa veterans who lost their lives in World War II. This memorial is a gift of alumnus Stan Lee, Major (Retired), U.S. Air Force.
